Interview with our Chairman
It is indeed an honor to have been nominated as the Chairman of such a distinguished club. Although the basis for this nomination was probably my ability to baffle your brains with my spinning ability, I nevertheless take great pride in accepting this position and the responsibilities it encompasses.
Millennium
At the dawn of the new millennium, which contrary to popular belief starts on
1/1/01 not 1/1/00, it is not only appropriate but necessary for us to celebrate
the friendship we have enjoyed over the past 20+ years and ponder the prospects
of what may be in store for us during the next 20 years. Our relationship
has stood the test of time and has overcome the burden of long distances between
us. The bond we share is indeed one that many yearn for but only a few
experience.
The Bond
Although the mind has a way of fading out the tough times and keeping the
memories of the joy and laughter we have shared alive, we must realize that the
defining moments of our journey have been the times when we needed a
friend. It is the unique and precious connections we made and strengthened
at those times that separate this group of friends from all others who came and
went over the years.
Let us enter the new millennium with hopes that what we have in common will keep us together and that our diversity will make our team stronger.
Long live PPA!
Your most loyal servant,
Gandhi Vegemite

Comments
Reading our chairman's speech, at first glance it comes across as fun and satire, but almost 12 years later the 3RD and 4TH paragraphs resonate with me so vividly, in dealing with loss of Hamid our PPA stood as one and reaffirmed our brotherhood.

Ode to Anoosh
Let me
tell you about a fine young man named Anoosh
He has a great smile, almost as nice as Googoosh
A wizard, he becomes in anything he likes
Cars, computers, ladies, and lately ... them bikes
He has every cologne, that was ever made
I hate to imagine, for them how much he paid
When it comes to haircuts, he is not stingy
You will never find him, in underwear that’s dingy
Beware, don’t be fooled, by his skinny ass
when it comes to "balls", he has plenty of mass
The bad guys may know him as a MardehRend
But make no mistake, dozens of us call him our best friend
As he celebrates his birthday, I’d like to wish him well
And I must say he does not, look a day over Chehel
HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY OLD MAN!!!
